Anti-Human Trafficking & Modern Slavery Policy

1. Purpose & Scope

Astrid's Fairyland is committed to a work environment free from human trafficking and forced labor. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding any form of modern slavery, including forced, bonded, or indentured labor, and the procurement of commercial sex acts. This policy applies to all employees, contractors, consultants, and global supply chain partners.

2. Prohibited Activities

Employees and partners are strictly prohibited from:

  • Forced Labor: Using any form of forced or involuntary labor, including child labor.

  • Identity Document Retention: Confiscating, concealing, or destroying employee identity or immigration documents (e.g., passports or driver’s licenses).

  • Recruitment Fees: Charging workers recruitment fees or using misleading recruitment practices.

  • Commercial Sex: Engaging in commercial sex acts during the performance of company business.

  • Housing Standards: Failing to provide housing that meets host-country housing and safety standards, if housing is provided.

3. Supply Chain Due Diligence

We expect our suppliers to:

  • Comply with all local labor and human rights laws.

  • Certify that materials incorporated into products comply with laws regarding human trafficking of the country or countries in which they are doing business.

  • Allow for audits of their facilities and recruitment practices upon request.

4. Reporting & Whistleblower Protection

Any individual who becomes aware of a potential violation is required to report it immediately.

  • Internal Reporting: Contact astridsfairyland@gmail.com.

  • External Reporting: Contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 (USA) or local law enforcement.

Non-Retaliation: Astrid's Fairyland prohibits retaliation against any person who reports a violation in good faith. Any employee found to have engaged in retaliation will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

5. Enforcement

Failure to comply with this policy will result in disciplinary action. For employees, this may include immediate termination. For suppliers and contractors, violations may result in the immediate termination of contracts and blacklisting from future business opportunities.
